Located in a prime unit at the entrance of the town’s Darwin Shopping Centre, Toasty Rack will offer both shoppers and the busy local business community the chance to treat themselves to a selection of tasty, freshly cooked toasted sandwiches.
The brainchild of Shrewsbury-based entrepreneurial brothers Mark and Paul Morris, who have more than 40 years combined experience of working in the food and drink sector, the day-to-day running of Toasty Rack will be overseen by Operations Director Alun Evans and his team of ten staff.
“The town centre takeaway market has traditionally been dominated by the same few major multinational organisations,†Alun commented. “But with Toasty Rack we’re looking to bring a real local focus to food and give customers the chance to eat what they really want to, with the speed and convenience of genuinely fast food.â€
While popular, tried and tested toasted sandwich fillings such as cheese, ham, or baked beans will be staples of the new Toasty Rack menu, the restaurant will also enable customers to ‘mix and match’ their fillings to create their own favourite, and in some cases rather exotic, flavours.
“Everyone has their own personal food preferences, and the Toasty Rack philosophy is very much ‘What’s in Yours?’. So while we will have all the usual breakfast and lunchtime favourites available, it’s all about giving our customers the freedom to choose something that will really tickle their own particular taste buds, whether that’s ‘old favourites’ like bacon, egg, sausage, or cheese, or something that little bit different, all freshly prepared and cooked, and ready to eat within three minutes,†Alun added.
