To celebrate the start of the British Food Fortnight, the historic estate, near Shrewsbury is inviting visitors to its annual Food Fair on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September.

The Food Fair is a celebration of locally-produced food and drink. Visitors can enjoy some of the best of the region’s culinary delights from cakes, bread, fudge and chocolate to meats, cheese, ciders and wines. There is something to tease everyone’s taste buds.

The popular fair is now in its 12th year and will have a huge range of stall holders from across the region, including Knolton Farmhouse Cheeses and Strefford Hall Farm Shop.

Flora Hutchison, Events and Marketing Officer says: “The Food Fair is a great chance for our visitors to enjoy a wide variety of delicious produce as well as support local suppliers who have stalls in and around the large marquee we have on site specially for the event.
“It’s a popular event with our visitors and we look forward to welcoming them and all the producers and suppliers for the weekend.”

The Food Fair will take place in the outer courtyard between 10am and 4.30pm on both days.

The house will be open from 1pm to 5.30pm during the weekend. The shop will be open from 9am and the tea-room from 10.30am. Normal grounds admission prices apply.
