Newly promoted Lincoln City have re-signed former Shrewsbury Town winger Josh Ginnelly from Premier League Burnley.
The 20-year-old will stay with last season’s National League winners until the end of the season.
Ginnelly made three league appearances for Shrewsbury after joining from Aston Villa– making his league debut against Luton in August 2014.
He was offered a professional contract in March 2015, but absconded during pre-season.
Ginnelly had trials at Norwich City and Burnley, before signing a three-year deal with the latter in August of that year.
The Coventry born winger scored five times in 21 games for non-league Altrincham, before featuring 14 times for Salop’s fierce rivals Walsall.
Ginnelly was part of the Lincoln side that won the National League, with a Quarter Final run in the FA Cup capping off a memorable season for the club.
Lincoln have also agreed a deal for former Birmingham City striker Matt Green, who was tentatively linked with a move to Town following his departure from Mansfield.
Danny Cowley has also added ex Leyton Orient man Ollie Palmer to his attacking options.
