A 4-1 success means Telford have taken a step closer to that much-anticipated English Premier League title, with 13 points the gap to second-placed Guildford.
But following a lengthy trip south, The Tigers struggled to gain a foothold in the early periods on Sunday, despite a goal after just 56 seconds from Martin Ondrej.
Head Coach Tom Watkins, who swapped his systems from four lines to three lines during the game, was happy just to collect two valuable points.
He said: “It wasn’t a fantastic performance, but we came away with the points and that is the biggest thing for me. We played hard and although we weren’t at our best, we found a way to win.
“The game was tight all the way through and at just 1-0, I felt we needed to go with three lines. Once we created a bit more offence, I made sure we used all four lines again.”
That Ondrej strike was the only goal of the first period, as Bracknell threatened to stage an upset with an equaliser on 32 minutes.
Telford’s dominance showed in the third session, however, with Jason Silverthorn, Rupert Quiney and Max Bribraer all scoring to give The Tigers victory.
“We got a goal on the first shift of the third period and that made all the difference,” Watkins said.
“From there, we scored two more goals, but we can play better.”
A rare Saturday off for Telford gave Guildford the chance to close the gap at the top of the EPL standings, albeit with just nine league games remaining.
And The Tigers supremo believes that rest could have upset his side’s routine.
He added: “We would much rather be playing on a Saturday. It is strange when you get used to doing that, and you break the normal routine.
“It is something that could have changed things for the players in the early part of the game. We would definitely have preferred to play on Saturday.”
The Tigers return to action next weekend, when they host Manchester Phoenix on Saturday night, in a dress rehearsal of the British Challenge Cup final at 6pm.
