Plymouth are a tough nut to crack on home soil, having conceded just two goals in their previous five games at Home Park. Shrewsbury could make two changes from the side that lost at Southend – Ashley Vincent and Scott Vernon are pushing for starts at the expense of James Collins and Liam Lawrence respectively. Dave Macalister (knee) is still out.
Former Shrewsbury striker Marvin Morgan will spearhead the attack for the Green Army. The 31 year old who netted fifteen goals in eighty two games for Shrewsbury, is looking for his first goal of the season. Argyle have top scorer Ruben Reid fit and available – the former Walsall hitman has recovered from a hip injury. Ex Liverpool and Crystal Palace winger Jason Banton – is making good progress from a groin injury he sustained in training, but is still likely to miss the clash against the Shrews. Ben Purrington (wrist) is likely to only be fit enough for the bench.
