Rose, 19, scooped the Coach’s Player of the Year Award last season, as well as earning a well-deserved place in the Great Britain under-20s team.
He becomes part of a defensive line-up that has a distinct Elite League flavour, with Sam Zajac, Dan Scott, Rupert Quiney and Marcus Maynard all boasting EIHL experience.
Tigers Head Coach Tom Watkins jumped at the chance to re-sign Rose, who he believes will be one of the mainstays of his newly recruited rearguard next season.
He said: “It was a very easy decision to bring Danny back. It was a collective vote between all the coaches to give him the award, and he deserved it. “
He had a really solid year and developed a great pairing with Michal Pavlu. We were happy to put him in against a lot of top guys from other teams, because of that.”
Rose was also a key goalscorer in games last season, striking five times and gathering another five assists, as his side made a first appearance in the EPL play-offs for 17 years.
Watkins added: “He picked up a few goals towards the end of the season, which were down to his great shot. When he came here he was a forward, but then reverted to defence. He always gets that shot away very quickly and we’ll be looking for him to shoot more from the point.
“He is a dependable guy who has a great plus/minus rating, and generally plays with the same attitude in every game. “
As a coach, you want that consistency and to get that from a player is very good.”
The development shown by the youngster, who also appeared for Great Britain under-18s in 2012, has marked him out as one for the future by Watkins.
He said: “Danny has taken great strides with us. He probably didn’t play a lot of minutes until well into his first season, but he has been a bit of a revelation.
“He’s a good kid who trains hard and is eager to learn. He takes everything on board and tries to put into practice what he has seen.
“I see him as a big part of this club, moving forward.”
