The England team will play their opening match at the New Bucks Head on Tuesday 26 November and the kick off is 12:30pm.
It’s is the first of four games that will be hosted by the New Bucks Head during the course of the tournament.
The UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship final tournament is the pinnacle competition in Europe for this age group and takes place between 26 November and 8 December.
Three of the four matches have been scheduled in the daytime to enable schoolchildren and students to witness a UEFA finals tournament and watch the best young female footballers in Europe. All the borough’s schools have been offered free tickets by The FA.
The games will kick off at 12:30pm on Tuesday 26 November with the New Bucks Head staging the opening ceremony before England get the tournament under way when they play Italy.
Prior to seeing the two teams in action, fans are invited to take part in free fun football based interactive games, brought by Continental Tyres.
Games include batak boards, a speed cage, a target shoot inflatable plus a new trailer that houses trophies and digital stations. To add to the enhanced fan experience, there will also be hair braiding and face painting, all of which will take place outside the stadium from 10:30am.
Another game, Austria v Portugal, will follow at AFC Telford United’s stadium that evening, starting at 7pm. The two other fixtures will be on Friday 29 November (Germany v France kick-off 12:30pm) and Monday 2 December (Italy v Australia kick-off 12:30pm).
England players and ambassadors will be making public appearances in Telford.
England coach Lois Fidler will bring her England Women’s Under-17 squad to the New Bucks Head tomorrow (SAT NOV 9) as Guests of Honour. They will be introduced to the crowd before kick-off and will then watch the game against Stalybridge Celtic.
An England senior player will also pay visit to several schools in Telford next week.
