Tommy Wright opened the scoring for the Lambs after 18 minutes as he latched onto a Lee Hendrie cross that had been flicked on by Adam Cunnington to bury the ball into the bottom corner of Ryan Young’s net.

But it took just another 12 minutes for Ian Craney to equalise as he smashed home from close range as Jake Reid headed Jay Smith’s free-kick into his path.

Wright though put the visitors back into the lead in the 41st minute from another free-kick as he headed home a Tom Marshall centre.

Phil Trainer headed home a second equaliser with 73 minutes played from a Craney corner before Wright grabbed his hat-trick on 77 minutes, heading home from close range.

But both sides had to share the points as Reid smashed home with five minutes of the match remaining after Tamworth keeper Tony Breeden had parried Richard Peniket’s header into the goalscorer’s path.

Both sides continued to search for a winner but no more goals were forthcoming.

Tamworth did, however, end the match with 10 men as substitute Kyle Perry was sent off for a second booking in stoppage time.

The result sees the Bucks move onto 30 points in 22nd place with Tamworth moving onto 37 points in 15 spot in the standings.
