Tigers, who have won three of their last five games, including a home win against current league leaders Basingstoke Bison, travelled to face Saturday’s opponents Peterborough on Thursday night, ending up on the wrong end of a 3-1 score line.

Despite Thursdays result, Tigers recent performances have been positive and player-coach Tom Watkins remains upbeat about the remainder of the season, saying “We were missing a few players on Thursday, but that’s not an excuse, we still have enough in the squad to win a hockey game. We started off well on Thursday night, but got out hustled in the second period, and the game got away from us. We have to pick ourselves up for the weekend’s games, continue working hard and play to our strengths. We have shown over the last few weeks the ability in the team, we need to continue our work ethic and intensity to maintain that performance level for the remainder of the season”.
