Paul Shuttleworth, E-Lites Shropshire Director said “Working with the TRS Telford Tigers is a great opportunity for E-Lites to promote our brand and support a community run team with such history in both Telford and British Ice Hockeyâ€.
The Stoptober campaign, backed by Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation, encourages smokers across England to take up the challenge to stop smoking for 28 days, and E-Lites provides a range of products designed to offer an alternative to smoking tobacco and have been used by many as an aid to reducing nicotine intake and quitting completely.
As the market leader in electronic cigarettes, E-Lites can also save smokers money in addition to providing a healthier alternative to smoking.
TRS Telford Tigers Team Manager Paul Thomason said “As a club we are always happy to support our sponsors in promoting their business, and as a community run team we are particularly happy to get behind a campaign such as Stoptober and encourage the local community to improve their health and using a smoking alternative like E-Lites can help people move towards or achieve their goal.”
E-Lites are now available in both Telford Shopping Centre and Wellington Indoor Market, and will also be at the Gift Fair at Telford International Centre on the 8th and 9th December.
Meanwhile the Tigers are coming to the end of their tough start to this English Premier League season, where they have played their opening 7 games away from home while Telford Ice Rink undergoes a £4M refurbishment. Tigers first home game of the season faces off at 5.30pm in the new look rink this Sunday 21st October, against Peterborough Phantoms.
With a much improved looking team this season Tigers are determined to qualify for the end of season play-offs, with Paul Thomason urging the local community to get behind the team as they officially open the new look rink this season. He added “Tom Watkins and the players have been working really hard and we’ve shown in our away games to date that we can compete with the top teams this season, and now we have our home ice back, with the backing of the local community we can really push on this season.
“It would be great to see a full house for the first game in the new rink this Sunday, so I would encourage everyone to come along and support the team and roar us on to a first home win in our new look home.â€
