Chief Inspector Adrian Roberts, Match Commander for Saturday’s fixture, said “It’s vital that supporters buy their tickets before Saturday. As it’s an early kick-off we are recommending Shrewsbury fans travel straight to Vale Park, the facilities at the football stadium will be open from 11.30 am so travelling supporters can get refreshments.

“Unfortunately for this fixture, the pubs around the ground have told us they will not be accepting visiting supporters as they are already expecting large numbers of local fans.”

Chief Inspector Adrian Roberts added “We are working closely with the club to ensure everyone arrives in time and is able to support their team. We will have a number of officers on duty on Saturday; many of them will be focused on helping to manage the higher levels of traffic in the area so that fans don’t miss the early kick-off.”
