Buildwas Bridge will be closed to vehicles from Monday 8 December, for up to two days, for investigation works.

To ensure the work can be carried out safely, the bridge will be closed between 9.30am and 4pm each day.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained, although short delays may occur during certain phases of the work. Access to properties up to the bridge will also be preserved throughout the closure.

Shropshire Council says it appreciates that this may cause some disruption to the local community and thanks people for their patience and understanding.

The work will be undertaken by Shropshire Council’s term maintenance contractor, Kier, with supervision provided by WSP on behalf of Shropshire Council.
