Shrewsbury Furniture Scheme has taken delivery of a brand-new Mercedes Sprinter van, thanks to a £69,000 Community Fund grant.

The van arrived at the charity’s Monkmoor Road warehouse in Shrewsbury last week and has since been professionally sign written.
Scheme manager Gareth Bevan is delighted with the new vehicle, which he says will significantly improve the charity’s ability to deliver and collect furniture items.
“It replaces a very old van that has been in service since 2010,” Bevan said. “The new vehicle has a more modern tail lift and is more efficient and economical to run, which is crucial for the smooth operation of the Shrewsbury Furniture Scheme.”
The Shrewsbury Furniture Scheme is a local charity that provides affordable furniture to people in need. The new van will allow the charity to help more people and expand its services.
