Emergency services attended a collision in which a car left the road and came to rest in the garden of a house in Shrewsbury on Wednesday evening.

The incident happened on Belvidere Road at around 6.20pm.

An elderly male was treated by West Midlands Ambulance Service following the collision.

Four fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington along with an operations officer.

West Mercia Police also attended.
