Police officers who have been searching to find a missing man have confirmed that a body has been found in Oswestry.

Formal identification is yet to take place, but it is believed to be that of 41 year-old Gareth Wyn Stephens who was last seen on Wednesday morning in Gobowen.

Gareth’s next of kin have been informed and West Mercia Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

The police have thanked the public for their help and for sharing the appeal.
