Two people have been cut free following a collision on the A458 near Shrewsbury this morning.

The two vehicle collision occurred at around 10.05am on the A458, just past the Weeping Cross island.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service crews used holmatro cutting equipment to extricate the two casualties who were left in the care of the ambulance service.

The A458 was blocked for a time between Thieves Lane and Cross Houses.
