West Mercia Police is appealing to residents of Aston Street and the surrounding area in Shifnal after a woman was injured following an altercation.
The incident occurred in a small cul-de-sac off Aston Street on Friday 30 September.
Between 2am and 3am the victim, a woman in her thirties, saw two males standing by cars parked out in the street.
The victim left her property and approached the males outside. An altercation has taken place and the victim states she was pushed by one of the males.
The males have then run off in an unknown direction. The pair were described as white and both were wearing dark clothing. The two males are believed to be between 5ft 9ins and 5ft 10ins tall, of average build and are thought to be in their late teens.
The victim has gone back inside and fallen asleep. In the morning she has woken with pain to her left side and found two small puncture wounds, one on the left side of her torso and the other on her stomach.
She was taken to hospital and after receiving treatment she was released the same day.
Detective Constable Janet Teggin, who is leading the investigation, said: “I am keen to speak to anyone in Bluegate, Aston Street, Greenfields Crescent and any surrounding areas that may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour between 2am and 3am last Friday.”
