A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old teenage boy have been threatened with a weapon during a robbery in Wellington.
The incident happened between 10pm and 10.30pm on Wednesday, when they returned to their car outside Kebeb Ye on Church Street.
The victims had been walking in the street when they were approached by two unknown men. One of the suspects demanded the victim’s keys, and when the victim refused they were then threatened with a weapon, and a demand for money was made. The victims handed over the money they had and the offenders walked away in the direction of Vineyard Road.
The first suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s around 5ft 9in in height. He has short dark hair, was clean shaven with spots and two moles on his face. He had been wearing a grey hooded top.
The second, a white man believed to be 18-years-old around 5ft 10in in height, with short ginger hair and is described as having spots on his chin. He had been wearing a dark blue Addidas tracksuit with three silver stripes running down the arms and down the side of the trousers.
Police say no-one was injured during the incident.
Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who was within the area on Wednesday night or has any information which would help them with their enquiries.
