The incident occurred shortly before 4:30pm on Copthorne Road, Shrewsbury, when a Silver Vauxhall Corsa exited Frankwell Island and was in collision with a 75-year-old woman.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries but sadly died on Sunday afternoon.

Traffic Investigator Simon Pond said “This happened on a busy Saturday afternoon and we are confident that it must have been seen by passers by. We are encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call police on 101, quoting incident 421s of 9 January 2016.”
