Arrests made following Talbot Inn robbery

Police officers investigating a robbery at the Talbot Inn on the High Street in Dawley, Telford, have arrested three people.

The incident occurred at around 11.20pm on Saturday night when two men wearing balaclavas entered the pub via an unsecured door. One was holding a knife and they threatened staff who were cleaning the pub, after it had closed.

The two men asked staff to empty the contents of the till into a carrier bag, before leaving via a rear door.

A 24-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from Telford, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

A woman in her 20s, also from Telford, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.
