The Met Office issued a yellow warning of snow from 11am Friday until 6pm on Saturday and said there is the risk of several centimetres falling even at low levels.

The yellow warning – meaning “be aware” – is in place from 11:00 GMT on Friday until 06:00 on Saturday.

They have also warned that roads could become very icy and there could be disruption for those travelling.
