
Several hundred campaigners from a number of protest groups gathered at the British Ironworks Centre.
The route would connect the Brechfa Forest West Wind Farm in Carmarthenshire with the National Grid.
A consultation for the 19mile route is open until February 2015.
Chairman Mr Clive Knowles, said: “We will do anything necessary to protect the park and the destination here.
“No effort or expense will be spared to protect the millions of pounds already invested, alongside trying to find the most amicable solution with the grid.
“The Sculpture Park represents the only sculpture park here in Shropshire, having taken over the Ironbridge Museum of steel sculpture last year, moving over 50 sculptures to their A5 site on the outskirts of Oswestry.
“Further Demonstrates are hoped to be avoided, the centre whilst raising awareness of the importance of the site and its valued aspects, wish to find a solution that will accommodate both objectives.”
