Daniel’s mum, Lorraine reported her son missing, in the early hours of Sunday morning, after he failed to return home after a night out in Shrewsbury Town Centre.

She last spoke to him at 5.30am, when she called to offer him a lift home.

Lorraine said: “He said he would walk home although he was unsure where he was, so we drove to Shrewsbury anyway but could not find him.”

“We are devastated as any parent would be who did not know where their son was. As a family we have been in and around Shrewsbury searching day and night, we have given out leaflets asking for anyone to come forward with any information as to his whereabouts or the location of any of his possessions.”

It is believed Daniel left the Buttermarket nightclub at around 3.30am on Sunday Morning. His mum sent him a text and they then spoke on the phone, where he was unsure of his location. She then drove into Shrewsbury Town Centre but was unable to find him. His disappearance is completely out of character.

Chief Inspector Tom Harding said “Concerns are growing by the hour for Daniel with the current cold weather, and we request that public keep an eye out for a man matching Daniel’s description. Please check your gardens, sheds, garages or other outbuildings as a matter of urgency in case he has sought shelter from the cold. We are focusing our enquiries at this time within approximately 1 mile of the Buttermarket”

“We are carrying out extensive searches in the Shrewsbury area to locate Daniel. These involve using police dogs, the police helicopter and boats to search the river area. We are often reliant on the help and support of the public to assist us and urge anyone with any information to contact us”.

“We are working with the family to ensure they are kept up to date with any developments in the investigation and we continue to follow all lines of enquiry.”

Anyone who believes they may have seen Daniel or who has any information to assist with the investigation is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident 258 of 23 November.

Daniel was wearing a grey Police polo shirt with dark blue jeans and black boots on the night he disappeared. He is described as white, around 5”9 with short spiked brown hair and stubble.
