Teams of six, in full Halloween regalia, from local clubs, companies and organisations will attempt to be the fastest to pull an 11.5 tonne truck along Church Street.
Alongside promoting tourism, it is hoped that the event will help to raise funds for Hope House Children’s Hospice and other good causes.
Clive Knowles, Chairman of the British Ironwork Centre which, alongside Crossfit Oswestry’s Rob Walker, Community Engagement Officer Steve White and TG Griffiths, is helping to organising the event, he said:
“The Truck Pull is already creating great excitement in the town. We hope to help to bring more visitors into Oswestry to enjoy everything our town has to offer. We’d be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to be involved – all are welcome, we’re aiming for this to be a truly collaborative, community event to be enjoyed by people of all ages.”
The event starts at 10am and will begin with team registrations and weigh-ins for the truck pull, which will get underway at noon.
