Craig Edge, who was arrested near to his home last month for an assault against two residents of Manor Place, has subsequently admitted to the assault.

On learning of the arrest, Shropshire Housing Group (of which Meres and Mosses Housing Association is a part) immediately sought advice from its solicitors and within 24 hours of the arrest had successfully gained the injunction against Mr Edge who was ordered not to cause nuisance or annoyance to anyone living in or visiting Manor Place.

A further court appearance confirmed that the injunction would be in place for 12 months.
Ann Sutcliffe, Executive Director for Neighbourhoods at Shropshire Housing Group, said: “Due to the potential risk to the residents and the impact that this had on the community at Manor Place, we felt it only appropriate to immediately seek the injunction against Mr Edge as we simply cannot turn a blind eye to incidents of violence.

“We strive to support our tenants in being good neighbours so that everyone can live in peace within their given communities and this does, on occasion, mean having to seek legal redress.”
