Emergency services were called to New Street in Frankwell at around 9.41pm.

The woman was pulled from the water by a member of the public prior to their arrival.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue sent one appliance and a boat from Shrewsbury, and an appliance and rescue tender from Wellington, along with an operations officer.

Fire crews assisted ambulance crews at the scene.
