The woman left the club alone and was the victim of a serious sexual assault in the St Quentin Gate area of Telford, close to the International Centre.

The incident happened between 3.30am and 4am today after the woman had left the Vox nightclub.

The victim contacted police soon after the incident and officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the assault.

The two offenders are described as white men, medium build, aged in their late 20s or early 30s, wearing jeans and light coloured tops. One had brown hair and the other man had blond hair.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Watson, who is leading the investigation, said:

“This was a shocking assault on a lone female and anyone who has information for the police is asked to contact officers at Telford by dialling 101 and quoting OIS62N270713.

“I would like to reassure females in the area that we are doing everything we can to find the two men involved and bring them to justice.”
