At around 6.30pm on Sunday , as the victim was walking along Ercall Lane towards the hotel, she was approached from behind by two unknown men. The men are described as wearing grey hooded tops and tracksuit bottoms.

“When it was stolen the victim’s handbag contained a red purse with £35 in it, a black Samsung C330 mobile phone and a number of personal documents.

“This handbag has since been found by police officers discarded in a nearby field and although the purse, the phone and the personal documents were found inside, the money that had been in the purse was missing.
