The works will take place on the A442 between Randlay and Stirchley Interchanges on the left hand side verge and running lane.

Telford & Wrekin Council says traffic management will be in the form of a lane closure for the duration of the works and a reduced speed limit will be in place through the works of 40mph.

The works are to repair and improve the surface and sub-surface drainage in the area, some repairs to the carriageway will also be carried out with the aim of reducing the risk of potholes.

Councillor Hilda Rhodes, cabinet member for Transport and Community Protection, said: “This is essential maintenance to extend the life of the carriageway on that part of the A442. We apologise for any inconvenience and we will keep delays and disruption to a minimum.”
