The vehicle was stopped in Coronation Avenue last night and its three occupants searched.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug after two small bags containing a white powder and crystals were found.

He was taken into custody at Shrewsbury police station and after being interviewed, was given police bail pending further inquiries.
