Firefighters from Market Drayton, Hodnet and Nantwich attended the fire involving a grill pan in the kitchen of a 2nd floor flat in Longlands Lane, Market Drayton at around 12.40am.

One person was rescued by fire service personnel and treated by paramedics.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, 1 Hose Reel Jet and 1 covering jet to extinguish the fire.
