As a result of this burglary several hundred Olivetti and Hewlett Packard laptop computers were stolen by thieves who used a fork lift in the warehouse to steal the items and then a Mercedes van to transport them away from the scene.
A police spokesman said: “This was a high value burglary and although we have recovered a number of the stolen laptops, we are extremely keen to trace as many more as we can.
“The stolen Olivetti laptops have serial numbers beginning with 103PE205, 103PE206, 103PE207, 107PE205, 107PE206, 104PE201 and 104PE200, while the stolen Hewlett Packard laptops have serial numbers beginning with CNU002.
“Anyone who bought one of these two types of laptops in the run up to Christmas 2011, or in the weeks immediately afterwards, is encouraged to check the serial number and compare it with those we have released today. If they then have any concerns, please call the police immediately.
“We would encourage directly encourage people to call police with their information rather than keep quiet because the laptops are being traced and police officers are likely to come knocking on your door if you do have one.
“Three men and a woman have been arrested in connection with this burglary and they have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
“Anyone with information relating to the unusual sale of new Laptop computers, or any information about this burglary itself, is asked to contact Detective Constable 3957 Paul Pennell in Telford 0300 333 3000.
“Alternatively, please remember that Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather leave information without getting directly involved.”
