The collision involving a lorry and saloon car happened at the Western Crossroads on the A49 at around 2.20pm.

The person was extricated from the car and taken to hospital by land ambulance.

Fire Service crews from Prees, Wem, Wellington and an operational officer from Shrewsbury all attended the scene.
