Both men were arrested by Nottinghamshire Police on suspicion of drink driving and failing to stop after a car crash on the M1 in Nottinghamshire.

The two men fled after a Range Rover travelling south on the M1 hit the central reservation near junction 26 at around 5.30am on Sunday morning.

The motorway was closed for a short time following the single vehicle collision.

The pair were arrested in Bulwell, near Nottingham, shortly after 7am. They have been bailed pending further inquiries.
