The Swift Challenger 490L caravan was stolen from the yard of a unit on the Wem Industrial Estate in Soulton Road between 11pm and 11.40pm on Sunday.

Police Constable Dave Carpenter, the investigating officer, said: “I am appealing for any information which might assist the police.

“The thieves may have been spotted entering or leaving the industrial estate late on Sunday night. I would also ask for any information concerning the current whereabouts of the caravan.”

PC Carpenter said the thieves removed a security wheel clamp and then hitched the caravan up to a dark double cabbed pick-up or truck to tow it away.
