They have appealed for the driver to come forward following the incident on the B4176 “Rabbit Run” at Sutton Maddock, near Shifnal at around 2.50pm on Friday.
Police Constable Mike Jenkins, the investigating officer, said: “The driver of a red Fiat began to overtake what has been described as a skip lorry on the approach to a left hand bend just after the Sutton Maddock roundabout.
“At the same time, two vehicles appeared from the opposite direction and are forced to take immediate action to avoid a collision. Both drove onto the grass verge and although the first did this successfully, the second, a red Renault Megane Scenic, ended up crashing into the hedge.”
He said the Fiat braked strongly and managed to get back behind the skip lorry. “This potentially could have been a very serious road collision but thankfully only resulted in minor injuries.”
The woman driver of the Renault suffered from whiplash and shock.
PC Jenkins added: “I am appealing for the driver of the skip lorry to contact me at Shifnal police station on 0300 333 3000 or to contact Bridgnorth police station on the same number as they may be able to assist with the investigation.”
