The break-in happened at the site in Priorslee Road in Snedshill between the site being locked up on Monday at 5pm and reopened again at 7am yesterday.

Thieves broke into the secure compound and gained entry into two storage sheds taking thousands of pounds of items.

Items include a diamond blade, a Stihl saw, a pipe laser, cable detector, rotating laser level, a Husqvarna saw, a Waker plate and two sets of tripod legs and receivers for laser level.

The items are valued at around £5,000.

Police are investigating the break-in and are appealing to members of the public for help.

They want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious or anyone who may have been offered any of the stolen items for sale.

A Telford Police spokeswoman said: “Thieves broke in initially through a fence, which borders Telford Way. Offenders then broke into the storage containers.

“It is highly likely that there were at least two offenders, due to the fact that some of the stolen items were very heavy. It is likely that a vehicle was also used to transport the items away. It is possible that the vehicle was parked in Telford Way.

“If you saw or heard anything suspicious – whether it be persons or a vehicle – then we would like to hear from you.”
