A HGV and trailer unit carrying meat was completely destroyed in the fire which broke out just after 3.30am this morning.

Shropshire Fire & Rescue sent appliances from Whitchurch, Prees, Malpas, Wem, Tweedale, Shrewsbury, Ellesmere, Audlem, Baschurch and Albrighton along with a pumping unit from Prees, foam unit from Tweedale, Welfare unit from Newport, and a Ranger from Market Drayton.

Several officers were also sent to the scene.
