Trevor Bate didn’t hesitate to offer his international roadshow equipment complete with flashing disco lights and intricate sound mixer to get to the school event – which happens to be taking place in Douglas on the Isle of Man.
Trevor, who runs a security and events business in Telford, will take the ferry from Liverpool to bring the 200% Sound International equipment along with an inflatable ‘Battlezone’ bouncy castle, popcorn maker and candy floss machine to support the Douglas primary school’s festival on July 9.

Head teacher Adrian Shorthouse said: “This is real brotherly love. It is amazing what he is doing for us. I mentioned that the school would be holding an event in the Summer but that we wanted to provide something special for the community. Wanting to help, he offered to bring over all his event equipment.â€
Before taking up his post as head teacher at the Isle of Man school, Adrian taught at St Matthew’s C.E. Primary School in Donnington, Telford, and High Ercall Primary School.
“If it helps my brother to deliver something enjoyable for the community and raise some funds for the school in the process, then it’s all worthwhile,†said Trevor, who runs RMP Guarding and RMP Events at Stafford Park, Telford, and regularly helps out at charity events in Telford.
