At just after 6pm, as the victim rode his off road pit bike on the edge of the country park he was approached by three unknown men. The men are described as being white, with two of them wearing vest tops.
The unknown men briefly spoke to the victim about his bike – a silver and black Demon X 110 with red marks on the frame and devil faces on the petrol tank – and then mentioned that it’s the type that scared their horses.
Suddenly one of the men punched the victim a number of times – eventually forcing him off his bike and onto the ground. The assault continued while the victim was on the floor before all three men picked up his bike and then made off with it.
Although he was hit a significant number of times, the victim did not suffer any serious injuries as he was wearing a crash helmet at the time.
The victim believes there are a number of possible witnesses to this robbery and therefore anyone who may have seen this incident is asked to contact the police as soon as they can.
Anyone with information about this robbery, or where the stolen pit bike can now be found, is asked to contact investigating officers on 0300 333 3000 or call anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
