Bright Owls offers Spanish, French and Portuguese, as well as English as a Foreign Language, for children and adults alike. It offers courses to suit a wide range of abilities and needs – whether for holidays, business, gap-year preparation for students, support for GCSE and A Levels or simply for fun!

During the lively, colourful and successful Launch Party Bright owls were warmly welcomed into The Hive’s family by Alyson Lanning, Director of The Hive. During the event, there was live music from Mr Julian Cattley, a fashion show with a flamboyantly international flavour made possible thanks to the latest clothing ranges kindly supplied by ‘Oasis’, ‘Yumi’, ‘Desigual’ and ‘White Stuff’.

The Spanish tapas bar, ‘Casa Naranjo’, to everyone’s delight, generously cooked a delicious authentic Spanish paella, which perfectly complemented the sangria served for this especial occasion. Prizes for the charity raffle were kindly donated by Casa Naranjo, Tanners Wines Ltd,
The Coach and Horses public house, Poppy’s Tearooms, BodyZone and Aveda Lifestyle Centre.

Marisa Fernández of ‘Bright Owls’ says: “Julie and I want to thank everybody for making this day so especial, it’s a great honour to have been welcomed in such manner”. The Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Tony Durnell and the Lady Mayoress, Mrs Durnell, also very kindly made a space in their very busy schedule to come along to congratulate Marisa and Julie on their new adventure and it would not have been appropriate for them to leave without a little taste of the Spanish sangria!
