The air show, held annually at RAF Cosford on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border, regularly attracts around 50,000 visitors to the region and 2011 is looking to be one of the best yet.
With children free to the event, the return of the Avro Vulcan, the museum open on the day, a fairground, ground exhibitions and dozens of trade stands, organisers say advance ticket sales are very encouraging.
Air Show Marketing Co-ordinator John Francis, said: “The show is always supported by our local people and it is nice to know we have that core of support. It is a family event.
“This year we have people coming from far and wide to see the air display, especially with a return in 2011 from the Avro Vulcan.
“Ticket sales are up on this time last year and are very encouraging indeed.â€
The five-hour flying display is again set to wow the crowds with aircraft old and new taking to the skies.

Recently added to the list of displays is the RAF Tutor which will be flown by Flight Lieutenant Shaun Kimberley, who has been in his current post as an instructor on the Grob Tutor since early 2010. The Tutor display will include rolls, loops and a special wave to the crowd.
Another display confirmed for the event on June 12 is the Twister Duo, who have performed spectacular aerobatic displays across the UK and Europe, along with the RAF Tucano display team.
Tickets will be £25.00 on the gate, only cash can be accepted, and £19.00 in advance. Tickets are free for children under 16 when they are accompanied by an adult.
Postal bookings should be received on or before June 5, 2011, and all major credit cards are accepted on the 24-hour Cosford Air Show Ticket Line on 0871 230 1083.
Tickets are also available from the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford, Shropshire Star offices in Shrewsbury, Hereford, Newport, Bridgnorth, Oswestry and Ludlow, Tourist Information Centres in Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford and Birmingham and in Mid Counties Co-Operative stores.
