Following a burglary at a farm in Worthen, a search warrant was executed at an address in Minsterley on 25th February.

About 60 items, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, strimmers and other power tools were recovered and police believe they may have been stolen.

A man at the address was arrested and has been interviewed and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police Constable Jon Summerfield, Local Policing Officer for the Pontesbury and District area, has organised a viewing day of the property at Pontesbury Police Station on Saturday 2 April.

“There have been a number of shed breaks both in our area and heading into South Shropshire and we believe the items recovered during the warrant may be stolen,” he said.

“Anyone who thinks some of the items may belong to them is welcome to come along.

“They will have to prove that the property is theirs, either through the production of receipts or records of distinctive features, such as security markings and serial numbers.”

The open day will run from 9am until 3pm on Saturday 2 April. For more information, contact Pontesbury Police Station on 0300 333 3000.
