Concern for the health and safety of the expected 18,000 music fans at the sell-out concert has been expressed by Councillor Jon Tandy.

Councillor Tandy told shropshirelive.com that he’s concerned over the lack of parking provisions and current pedestrian safety in place for the concert which is due to take place at Shrewsbury Town’s Greenhous Meadow.

Mr Tandy also said local residents had not been fully consulted on the event.

Planning permission for the concert was scheduled to be given on Friday. Following the concerns raised a new date for approval will go before Shropshire Council’s central planning committee on Thursday.
