More than 40 skilled designers and artisans from across Shropshire and surrounding counties will be exhibiting at their annual show in Ironbridge later this month.

The Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft hosts the ‘Gorgeous’ Christmas craft fair on November 19 and 20 at the Enginuity museum at Coalbrookdale in the Ironbridge gorge.
Now in its 12th year, the event will showcase a huge variety of handmade designs and individual artworks including furniture, jewellery, textiles, ceramics, woodwork, glasswork, bookbinding, print making and painting.
There will also be demonstrations from five makers during the weekend in the theatre area.
Caroline Bennett, co-chair of the guild, said that the 2016 show was set to be one of the best ever.
“The standard of work, which ranges from intricate jewellery to large and impressive pieces of furniture, is extremely high this year.
“The event is an ideal place for people to buy creative and original Christmas gifts which are hand made and of course visitors can talk to our designer makers about their work,” she said.
In addition, a small selection of the region’s food producers will be taking part in the event which is organised by the guild in conjunction with The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust.
Entry costs £2.50 per person and includes admission to Enginuity, with under fives being free.
