A Ludlow show which brought together crafts people from across the county proved a great success.
The Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft hosted their ‘Showing Off’ event at the Ludlow Castle Beacon Rooms at the weekend.
A total of 19 designer-makers displayed their crafts at the two-day show, which is now in its second year.
Guild member Caroline Bennett, a ceramic artist who lives near Bridgnorth, said: “Showing Off was a great success with a steady stream of visitors across the two days in the beautiful venue of Ludlow Castle Beacon Rooms.
“This year the show was expanded across two extra rooms and featured 19 designer-makers exhibiting a wide variety of craftwork.
“This extra space gave a lovely flow through from one room to the other and we are already planning for next year’s event, which will be held over the weekend of October 21 and 22 2017.”
The guild’s next show this year is the ‘Gorgeous’ contemporary Christmas Craft Fair to be held in conjunction with the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust on November 19 and 20 at the Enginuity museum at Coalbrookdale.
There will be over 40 designer-makers exhibiting a variety of high quality craftwork including furniture, jewellery, textiles, ceramics, woodwork, glasswork, bookbinding, print making and painting.
