The event for carers and their guests will take place at the County Showground on Berwick Road in Shrewsbury on Saturday 14 June between 2pm and 4pm.

Afternoon teas will be served in a wide collection of traditional fine china cups and saucers, poured from vintage teapots, from a large and varied tea service collection amassed from items donated to Shropshire RCC.

The event will also host live music, family entertainment, vintage attractions, stalls and games, with people being asked to arrive in vintage dress to add to the occasion, however, this is purely optional although awards will be made for the best vintage hat or costume.

Diane Cuff of Shropshire RCC said: “This should be a really enjoyable afternoon with a lovely atmosphere and should give the many hard working carers from across the county a much deserved treat.”
