Event organisers at Severn Hospice are urging thrill seekers from across Shropshire and Mid Wales to sign up for its first ever Fire Walk which is set to take place at Albrighton Hall Hotel on February 22.
People who want to take part have until February 15 to secure their place for the event, which will see participants walking over hot coals to raise funds for the charity.
Sarah Hawthorne, fundraising events organiser for Severn Hospice, said: “This will be the first time we have organised an event like the Fire Walk, which will offer thrill seekers the chance to experience something new whilst supporting a good cause.
“Anyone thinking of taking part needs to register in the next few days to avoid disappointment.
“We have a great evening planned for the night of the Fire Walk; spectators are welcome to join us so they can cheer on those taking on the challenge.
“We would like to thank Albrighton Hall Hotel for allowing us to host this event in their beautiful grounds.
“Every year we organise a number of fun events that help raise much needed funds for the hospice. Without the support of all those that take part in our events we simply would not be able to care for the growing number of local people that rely on our specialist care.”
Registration for the Fire Walk is £20. Each participant will be asked to raise a minimum of £120 in sponsorship money for Severn Hospice.
