Nearly 200 classic and vintage vehicles are set to take part in Severn Hospice’s Classic Vehicle Rally at Attingham Park on Sunday 12 August.

The event, which is organised by the charity, will see a wide variety of rare and unusual vehicles on display on the lawn in front of the main house from 12pm.

Members of the public are being urged to go along and enjoy the fun on the day.

David Sear, chair of trustees for Severn Hospice and event organiser, said: “We’re really looking forward to our Classic Vehicle Rally this weekend. It’s a real privilege to be allowed to park the vehicles in such a prestigious location in front of the main house.

“There will be some true classics on display. It’s not very often you get such a wide variety of vehicles on show so I would urge members of the public to make the most of this opportunity and come have a look.

“Car enthusiasts who have not signed up already but would like to join us can register on the day.

“We would like to thank the National Trust and all the staff and volunteers at Attingham Park for their continued support with the event.”

Registration on the day costs £15 which includes entrance to Attingham Park for the driver and passengers. Anyone interested in taking part in Severn Hospice’s Classic Vehicle Rally this weekend can call 07971429589.

There is no charge for spectators to view the exhibits on the day, although normal entry fees to Attingham Park will apply for those who are not National Trust members.
