Five schools take part in the challenge
The rocket challenge which took place on Wednesday October 21st was part of a new Primary Science Link programme that Concord is establishing and hoping to develop in the future.
Concord physics teachers Dr. Alan Herbert and Chris Arthur had previously visited each of the schools, Church Preen, St. Lawrence’s at Church Stretton, Longnor, Dorrington and Martin Wilson, to teach the children about rockets.
They had given the children a practical session at their own schools to help them design and build a rocket and left them with the challenge of launching one that will fly the highest.
